Michael Gledhill, the son of Wendy Gledhill, the girlfriend of veteran actor James Handy, has been charged with murder following Handy's fatal stabbing on June 3 at his home in Tarzana, California. The Los Angeles County District Attorney, Nathan J. Hochman, announced that Gledhill faces a potential sentence of 26 years to life if convicted. Prosecutors allege that he unlawfully killed Handy, using a knife as a deadly weapon. Handy, 81, known for his roles in films such as Top Gun: Maverick, was discovered with a chest stab wound in his front yard and succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. Hochman expressed that Handy's death is a tragic loss, stating, "This is not how anyone's life should end," and emphasized the importance of holding Gledhill accountable for his actions.
