Adityanath specifically targeted the Samajwadi Party (SP) for demanding separate reservations for Muslim women, arguing that such demands distract from the main goal of women's empowerment. He emphasized that the women's reservation Bill is a progressive step that seeks to enhance women's participation in governance without infringing on anyone's rights. Furthermore, he questioned the Opposition's commitment to women's rights, citing their past failures to address issues like the Shah Bano case and the triple talaq legislation. Adityanath concluded that the Bill should not be politicized but viewed as a unified effort to empower women.
