Nationwide Building Society has announced a £100 payment for eligible customers, set to be distributed between June 10 and June 30, 2026. This initiative, known as the Nationwide Fairer Share payment, is now in its fourth year and aims to benefit over four million customers. To qualify, members must have a qualifying current account, along with either qualifying savings or a qualifying mortgage, as of March 31, 2026. Specifically, customers need to have at least £100 in total across personal savings accounts or cash ISAs with Nationwide by the end of March 2026. Additionally, those with a qualifying mortgage must owe at least £100 on their residential mortgage by the same date. There is potential for Virgin Money customers who recently transferred to Nationwide to receive a payment in 2027, as they may become eligible under the Fairer Share program. Nationwide has indicated that the continuation of this payment initiative will depend on its financial performance, and future eligibility criteria may change.
