In response to ongoing regional disruptions, De Montfort University (DMU) Dubai has announced a scholarship initiative offering up to 100% tuition fee coverage for eligible students from the UAE and GCC. This initiative aims to alleviate financial burdens on families affected by the current climate. The university is set to reopen its campus on April 27, 2023, with nearly 80% of its student body expected to return to in-person classes. To further support students, DMU Dubai will implement no-penalty resits and automatic extensions for coursework submissions. The admissions process will also adapt to consider predicted grades, ensuring students do not lose placements due to the cancellation of international examinations. The university has reported a significant increase in applications, with interest rising five-fold week-on-week, reflecting a strong recovery in the educational sector as universities across the UAE resume on-campus learning.
