Goodin Development and Bowen Capital have unveiled plans for The Republic, a significant $38 million mixed-use development in Evansville's Promenade district, with construction set to commence in Fall 2026. This project will consist of two four-story buildings housing 153 Class-A apartments and 3,159 square feet of commercial space, including an outdoor dining patio. The Republic is designed to enhance the urban living experience and support local businesses, reflecting Evansville's industrial heritage by honoring the historic Republic Aviation factory. The development will feature upscale apartment finishes such as quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, along with a robust amenity package that includes a luxury rooftop patio, resort-style pool, and state-of-the-art fitness center. This initiative is backed by a public-private partnership with funding from the City of Evansville and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC).
