On April 24, Naveen, the 41-year-old managing director of a private hospital located on Konnur High Road in Ayanavaram, Chennai, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a former employee, Sathya, aged 32. Sathya, who had worked as a driver and resigned on April 3 due to workplace harassment, sought payment for 13 days of work. During a visit to the hospital to collect his wages, he was reportedly assaulted by Naveen, who used abusive language, slapped him, and attacked him with a surgical blade, resulting in head injuries. Sathya was subsequently admitted to the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for treatment. The Ayanavaram police have booked Naveen and are continuing their investigation into the incident.
