On Thursday, Mohan Bhagwat, chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), celebrated the Mangeshkar family's humanitarian contributions during the foundation stone laying of the 'Lata Asha Mangeshkar Institute of Medical Sciences' in Nandoshi, Maharashtra. This initiative comes shortly after the passing of legendary singer Asha Bhosle at age 92. Bhagwat emphasized the family's service through music, stating that their voices have the power to heal human suffering. The new hospital aims to provide comprehensive healthcare, reducing financial burdens on patients by offering various treatment options under one roof. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis praised the Mangeshkar family's commitment to philanthropy, noting that their existing hospital has treated countless underprivileged patients without commercializing services. The new project will include a rehabilitation center and cancer care facilities, continuing the family's legacy of service and patriotism. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed hope that the new hospital will save lives and alleviate suffering for many families.
