Dubai has officially opened the newly upgraded Al Mamzar beach, a project costing AED 500 million (approximately $136 million USD), which aims to create modern, safe public spaces for residents and tourists. The beach spans 2.75 million square feet and includes a dedicated women-only beach area designed for privacy and comfort, featuring trained female lifeguards and strict no-photo rules. Additionally, a 300-meter night swimming area is available, open 24 hours a day, equipped with high-tech lighting systems to ensure safety after dark. The beach also boasts over 5.5 kilometers of walking, jogging, and cycling tracks, as well as outdoor fitness zones and various water sports activities like kayaking and jet skiing. Facilities for People of Determination, including wheelchair access and specially trained staff, make the beach accessible to everyone. This development is part of Dubai’s broader AED 3 billion coastline enhancement initiative, which will also upgrade beaches in Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim, and Jebel Ali in the future.
