Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann attributed the blasts to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging they are part of an election strategy to instill fear before the upcoming assembly elections. Opposition leaders criticized the Mann-led Aam Aadmi Party government for failing to ensure security, with calls for the chief minister's resignation. The banned Khalistan Liberation Army (KLA) claimed responsibility for the Jalandhar blast, framing it as retaliation for a recent police encounter. The Punjab police are also investigating connections to a series of previous blasts in the region, which have raised concerns about security and stability in the state.
