The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced an extension for the UGC-NET June 2026 application deadline, now set for May 24, 2026, at 11:50 PM. This decision comes in response to numerous requests from students across India. Alongside the application deadline, the fee payment deadline has also been aligned to the same date and time. Additionally, a correction window will be available from May 26 to May 28, 2026, allowing applicants to make necessary changes to their submitted forms. The UGC-NET, which has been conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode since December 2018, is crucial for determining eligibility for Assistant Professorship and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges, based on performance in Paper I and Paper II. In a related update, NTA has also launched a refund facility for candidates of the NEET (UG)-2026 examination, allowing them to submit bank account details for fee refunds until May 27, 2026, at 11:50 PM.
