Albert Square, a key civic space in Manchester, has recently reopened after extensive renovations, part of the ambitious 'Our Town Hall' project. This Grade I-listed site has been under construction since 2018, with the aim of transforming it into one of Europe’s finest public squares. Originally set to finish in December 2023, the project has faced numerous delays, now expected to conclude in spring 2027 at a total cost of £524.8 million (approximately $645 million USD), significantly higher than initial estimates.
