Nintendo is expanding its iconic franchise with a live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda, set to premiere in theaters on April 30, 2027. Production on the film has already concluded, ensuring that the team has sufficient time for post-production. Directed by Wes Ball, known for the Maze Runner trilogy, the film features a script co-written by Shigeru Miyamoto, among others. The only confirmed cast members so far are Bo Bragason as Princess Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link. In addition to the film, fans can look forward to a new hardcover artbook titled The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom — Secrets of the Zonai, scheduled for release on October 20, 2023.
