Despite losing his legislative seat, Kumar expressed gratitude to the 59,965 voters who supported him and reaffirmed his commitment to serving the constituency. He noted that electoral defeats are part of political life and stressed that the strength of the Kerala Congress (B) is not solely dependent on holding a legislative seat. The party, which has a significant grassroots presence, will focus on an organizational overhaul to address the gaps that contributed to the electoral outcome. Kumar plans to start from scratch, revitalizing the party's machinery from the booth level and ensuring that the party remains engaged with local issues. He expressed confidence that the Kerala Congress (B) and the Left Democratic Front (LDF) would regain their influence through increased public engagement and discipline.
