The St. Jude Celebrates: A Legacy of Equity gala, scheduled for June 20, 2024, at The Wellsley in Chicago, aims to honor the commitment of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® to sickle cell disease awareness. Coinciding with World Sickle Cell Day, the event will showcase the hospital's historical dedication to advancing research and treatment for life-threatening pediatric diseases, particularly sickle cell disease. Since its inception, St. Jude has been at the forefront of sickle cell research, having received its first grant for this cause in 1958. Today, it operates one of the largest sickle cell programs in the country, contributing significantly to treatment advancements and exploring innovative therapies. The gala will feature a special appearance by Bailey, a patient who will share her family's journey with sickle cell disease. Guests can look forward to a signature cocktail hour, a curated dinner by Boka, and live entertainment, all while supporting a noble cause.
