In a significant operation, Kulgam Police, alongside the Army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), arrested Aadil Hussain Lone, an Over Ground Worker (OGW), in Mohmadpora village, South Kashmir. The operation, conducted by the 34 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 18 Battalion CRPF, targeted a suspicious individual, leading to the recovery of two hand grenades and various incriminating materials, including posters from banned terror organizations. These materials are believed to have been intended for an imminent terror attack, aimed at intimidating the public and facilitating local recruitment for terrorist activities.

Aadil Hussain Lone, son of Mohd Sadiq Lone, was apprehended during a targeted operation near his residence. Security sources indicate that he is a repeat offender, having been previously detained by the Special Operations Group (SOG) Kulgam on April 29, 2026, just weeks before this latest arrest. The police have classified him as an OGW, a role that involves supporting active terrorists by providing logistical assistance and disseminating propaganda. A formal case has been registered under FIR No. 88/2026 at Kulgam Police Station, invoking Sections 13, 16, and 18-B of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
