Delhi Police have arrested two men from Yamunanagar, Haryana, for their alleged involvement in facilitating cyber fraud transactions amounting to ₹1.69 lakh through mule bank accounts. The suspects, identified as Abhay Kumar, 24, and Amreek Singh, 36, were apprehended following a complaint from a resident of Shahdara who reported receiving a suspicious link that compromised his mobile phone. This incident led to unauthorized withdrawals from his bank account. An e-FIR was filed on May 14, prompting an investigation that traced part of the defrauded funds to accounts operated from Yamunanagar. Police conducted raids in the area, resulting in the arrests of both individuals. During questioning, the suspects confessed to knowingly facilitating the use of their banking instruments for routing fraudulent proceeds, thereby assisting cyber criminals in withdrawing and settling illicit funds. Authorities recovered one mobile phone, six debit cards, and two cheque books believed to be connected to the fraudulent activities. The investigation is ongoing as police work to uncover further details surrounding the case.
