The Delhi government has announced five dry days during which liquor shops will be closed, as per an order from the excise department. The dry days include Buddha Purnima on May 1, Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) on May 27, Muharram on June 26, Independence Day on August 15, and Janmashtami on September 9. According to the provisions of Rule 52 of the Delhi Excise Rules, 2010, all licensed liquor establishments must observe these days as dry days. However, hotels with L-15 and L-15 F licenses are permitted to serve liquor to residents. Licensees are required to display the dry day order prominently at their premises, and all business operations must cease on these specified days.
