Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), located in Lucknow, has cancelled the BTech sixth semester examination for 'Computer Network' due to a question paper leak. Reports indicate that the paper began circulating on social media approximately 25 to 30 minutes before the exam on May 21, 2026. The leak is believed to have originated from a compromised examination centre in Noida, where login credentials were misused. The issue was initially discovered during an inspection at an examination centre in Ghaziabad, where a student was found with slips containing questions from the leaked paper. In response, AKTU has formed a four-member committee to investigate the incident and has escalated the matter to local police and cyber authorities. The university is also reviewing its digital security protocols to prevent future breaches. The re-examination is scheduled for June 5, 2026, as students express concerns about the integrity and fairness of the examination process.
