The St. Ambrose University golf team is preparing for the 74th Annual NAIA Men's Golf National Championships at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois, following their recent triumph in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC). This victory has instilled confidence in the Fighting Bees, who are determined to leverage their familiarity with the course to advance further than in previous years. With Carsen Theis, the CCAC Player of the Year, leading a strong roster, the team is focused on executing their game plan over four rounds. The championship will feature a record 156 players representing 29 teams, with only the top 15 teams and six individuals advancing after the first two rounds. Coach Jeff Griebel believes that their recent success and home-course advantage could be pivotal in overcoming past challenges and achieving a strong performance at the national level.
