The Punjab State Election Commission has announced the election schedule for local body polls in Mohali district, India. Candidates can file their nomination papers from May 13 to May 16, with scrutiny on May 18 and the option to withdraw nominations until May 19. Polling will take place on May 26 from 8 am to 5 pm, and results will be declared on May 29. The District Election Officer has instructed municipal authorities to ensure timely issuance of No Objection Certificates for candidates and to accept affidavits in lieu of NOCs. Election officials are also tasked with maintaining updated voter lists and ensuring proper training for personnel to facilitate a smooth election process.
