This decline occurred despite a 15.6% increase in revenue, which reached ₹55,383 crore. Sequentially, revenue rose by 2.6% from ₹53,982 crore in December 2025, while profit increased by 10.5% from ₹6,631 crore. For the full fiscal year 2026, Airtel's profit fell 20.4% to ₹26,695 crore, even as revenue grew by 21.9% to ₹2.1 trillion. The average revenue per user (ARPU) climbed to ₹257, a 4.9% increase year-on-year, though it declined slightly by 0.77% from ₹259 in the previous quarter. The company aims to enhance its digital infrastructure and eliminate diesel use in its operations. Capital expenditure for the quarter stood at ₹16,066 crore. Additionally, Airtel Africa reported a profit increase of 147.4% to $813 million for FY26, aided by foreign exchange gains. The board also approved a cashless acquisition of a 16.31% stake in Airtel Africa from a promoter group company, further consolidating its control in the region.
