Fifteen-year-old Ava Hanssen from Elkhorn, Wisconsin, is racing towards her dreams in the Ligier Junior Formula Championship, achieving speeds of 165 miles per hour. Competing in her second season, Ava has transitioned from watching races at the Road America track to being a participant, supported by her family team. Her father, Tim Hanssen, serves as her mechanic, while her mother manages the team's logistics. Ava began racing at the age of 4 and has spent over 11 years in motorsports, often finding herself among a small number of female competitors. Despite the challenges, she remains undeterred, stating, "I can do just about anything that these guys can do." As she looks toward higher levels of competition, including F3 and F2, Ava cherishes the moments spent with her family.
