The Global Kashmiri Heritage Tour & Conclave 2026 will take place in Kashmir from June 6 to June 14, 2026, with a two-day conclave at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre on June 13 and 14. This initiative is described as a 'historic reconnect' for Kashmiri Pandits, marking their return to their homeland after 36 years of exile. The theme, 'From Exile to Excellence - Kashmiri Pandit Journey of Resilience, Renaissance and Return,' emphasizes the emotional and historical significance of the event. The conclave will feature a heritage tour, allowing delegates to visit temples and culturally significant sites, fostering a sense of remembrance and revival. Organised by seven community organisations along with support from over 30 others, the event aims to gather scholars, policymakers, and community leaders to discuss heritage preservation and the future of the Kashmiri Pandit community. Dr. Surinder Kaul, representing the organising committee, highlighted the conclave's goal of creating an inclusive dialogue platform. Invitations have been sent to prominent political figures to encourage participation and dialogue among various communities.
