Tamilnad Mercantile Bank's shares surged by 13.29% to a 52-week high of ₹725 during intra-day trading on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) following the announcement of its fourth quarter results for FY26. The bank reported a 28.01% year-on-year increase in net profit, reaching ₹373.65 crore, compared to ₹291.90 crore in the same quarter last year. Total interest earned also saw a significant rise, increasing by 15.56% year-on-year to ₹1,550.38 crore. For the full financial year FY26, total income rose by 9.03% to ₹6,696.49 crore. Additionally, the bank's board of directors recommended a final dividend of ₹12.50 per equity share, subject to approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). The total expenses for Q4 FY26 increased by 11.57% to ₹1,269.83 crore.
