Cricket West Indies (CWI) has unveiled its 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, scheduled from June 3 to 8 at Sabina Park in Jamaica. Notably, Shimron Hetmyer has been reintegrated into the squad as part of CWI's strategy to prepare for the 2027 ICC Men's ODI World Cup. Alongside Hetmyer, fast bowler Alzarri Joseph returns after recovering from a back injury that sidelined him since July 2025. The West Indies, captained by Shai Hope, are looking to build on their recent home form, aiming for a fifth consecutive ODI series victory at home. Head Coach Daren Sammy highlighted the importance of establishing a strong team identity and playing intelligent cricket against a skilled Sri Lankan side. Following the ODIs, the teams will also compete in three T20Is and two Tests in Antigua, making this a significant series for both teams as they seek to enhance their standings in international cricket.
