Kaleem Gul, a Talabat delivery rider in Dubai, has dedicated himself to caring for over 70 stray cats in the Al Quoz Industrial Area. Since arriving in Dubai in 2018, he noticed an increasing number of abandoned cats and began reaching out for help through volunteer WhatsApp groups. He also established a Facebook group to solicit food donations, creating a support network for the cats. His efforts are bolstered by Amal CSR, an initiative that connects corporate social responsibility with animal welfare, helping to organize food donations and medical care. Fellow animal advocate Fathima also contributes by feeding and checking on stray cats in the area, often working late into the night. Together, they highlight the importance of community involvement in managing the stray cat population through methods like trap-neuter-return (TNR), which helps control breeding while allowing the cats to remain in their environment.
