Jordan, 37, led the voting among a group of notable finalists, including Jrue Holiday (Portland Trail Blazers), Jeff Green (Houston Rockets), and Garrett Temple (Toronto Raptors). Despite appearing in only 12 games this season and averaging 4.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks, Jordan's impact as a mentor and leader for the young Pelicans squad was significant. His coach, James Borrego, highlighted Jordan's versatility and dedication, stating, “He’s a psychologist, he’s a mentor, he’s a friend, he’s a cheerleader, he’s a coach.” Jordan follows last year's winner, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, and adds this award to his impressive career, which began when he was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2008.
