The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, leading to the flight being diverted to Lucknow airport at approximately 8:40 PM. The pilot requested priority clearance for landing, citing adverse weather conditions along the original route. Upon receiving the emergency alert, Air Traffic Control (ATC) declared a full emergency at 9:02 PM, activating emergency protocols, including positioning crash fire tenders along the runway. The Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft landed safely at 9:21 PM. After confirming that all operations were normal, the ATC withdrew the emergency status by 9:30 PM. Airport officials reported that standard safety procedures were effectively followed during the incident, and only three passengers deboarded in Lucknow before the flight was expected to continue to Bhubaneswar later that night.
