The Karnataka government has approved a budget of ₹7.42 crore for ancillary works at the Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple in Dakshina Kannada district, aimed at enhancing facilities for the thousands of devotees who visit annually. These works are part of a broader ₹604.65 crore Phase III master plan. The Public Works Department (PWD) will oversee seven projects, including road improvements and the construction of culverts, with an estimated cost of ₹294.85 lakh. Additionally, the temple management will construct four public toilet blocks to maintain hygiene, with costs for each block ranging from ₹46.65 lakh to ₹47.7 lakh. The Nirmithi Kendra will also be responsible for building a well-equipped Go Shala at Nakshatravana and refurbishing the existing facility, costing ₹82.45 lakh. Furthermore, interlock flooring will be installed on temple lands at four sites, totaling ₹176 lakh. These initiatives are expected to significantly improve the infrastructure and facilities at the temple, catering to the needs of its numerous visitors.
