After four weeks of chatting on Tinder, the woman reported that Baird forced sexual acts on her, strangled her, and verbally assaulted her despite her protests. The victim, who is wheelchair-bound, experienced severe physical limitations during the attack, leading her to dissociate. Following the incident, she sought medical help, where evidence of assault was documented, including bruises and genital lacerations. DNA evidence collected during her examination strongly implicated Baird, who has a troubling history of sexual offenses, including a pending child molestation case involving a minor. He is currently incarcerated on charges of third-degree felony rape and second-degree assault by strangulation, among others, and is being held on a bond of $102,500.
