This collaboration, which spans three years, is valued at up to $2 billion, with an initial investment of $30 million in cash and equity. The partnership is structured to incentivize further payments based on the success of co-discovered drugs in meeting preclinical, regulatory, and commercial sales milestones. Uszkoreit, known for his contributions to AI at Google, aims to create AI models that can learn extensively about biological processes, allowing them to be applied across various tasks without the need for specific retraining.
