In a shocking incident in Antop Hill, Mumbai, a 45-year-old garment trader named Shravan Rawal from Virar was kidnapped and robbed of ₹32 lakh (approximately $38,600 USD) on Tuesday. Rawal, who works for two garment firms owned by the Gangwani family, was targeted after he collected ₹82.5 lakh from Santacruz. Following a delivery of ₹50 lakh in Sion Koliwada, he was waiting for a cab when four men intercepted him in a jeep. The kidnappers forced him into their vehicle, checked his identity documents, and questioned him about the cash he was carrying. They stole his bag containing ₹32 lakh and his mobile phone before releasing him in Ghatkopar. Rawal reported the incident to the Antop Hill police on Friday, leading to the arrest of Rahul Gaikwad and Irfan Ali Ahmed Ali Khan. Gaikwad, a former employee of Rawal's company, allegedly provided information about Rawal's cash collection routine to the other assailants. The police are currently searching for the remaining suspects involved in this brazen crime.
