The Trump administration has announced new agreements with major tech companies including Microsoft, Google DeepMind, and Elon Musk's xAI to strengthen collaboration in artificial intelligence (AI) research and security. The Center for AI Standards and Innovation (CAISI), part of the Commerce Department's National Institute of Standards and Technology, will lead efforts in pre-deployment evaluations of AI models to assess their national security implications.
