Cheyenne Piper, a sophomore right-hander at Westminster College, has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) pitcher of the week. The Ligonier Valley graduate showcased her skills by achieving a perfect 3-0 record, including two complete games and an impressive 0.00 ERA. Over 15 1/3 innings, she struck out 27 batters without allowing a single walk. Piper began the week with her second consecutive one-hitter, striking out 13 batters in a dominant 13-0 victory over Franciscan. She continued her stellar performance against Allegheny, recording her league-leading fifth shutout of the season with a 2-0 win, where she allowed only four hits and struck out nine. In the second game of the doubleheader, Piper earned another victory, pitching 3 1/3 innings in relief with just one hit allowed and five strikeouts in a 7-1 win. With 126 strikeouts this season, Piper leads the conference, solidifying her status as a formidable pitcher.
