In a significant development, the Special Operations Group in Jaipur has uncovered a major fraud scheme within the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS), which aims to provide free healthcare services. The scheme has reportedly suffered financial losses amounting to crores due to the collusion between certain doctors and a laboratory operator. Arrested individuals include Dr. Kamal Kumar Agrawal, an associate professor at SK Hospital in Sikar, and Dr. Banwari Lal, known as B Lal, who operates a private lab in the same district. The accused allegedly prescribed unnecessary diagnostic tests, such as MRI scans, without proper patient examinations, generating fake reports to claim reimbursements. Instances of inflated billing and manipulation of report dates were also reported. The fraud not only caused financial harm to the state but also affected genuine beneficiaries, damaging the scheme's credibility. An investigation is ongoing to identify other individuals involved, and legal action will be pursued against all guilty parties.
