On Sunday, Gujarat Police seized ₹2.56 crore (approximately $308,000 USD) in unaccounted cash from a vehicle near Dhanpur Chowkdi in the Limkheda area of Dahod district, Gujarat, India. The cash was found in three suspicious parcels during a routine vehicle inspection. The driver, identified as Rajubhai Ninama, failed to provide any legal documents regarding the cash, which he claimed was handed to him by a man named Bharat Chopra for delivery to Vadodara. The police seized the cash under the provisions of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and deposited it in the treasury, while also notifying the Income Tax Department. In a separate incident, the Gujarat Police, in collaboration with the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit from Rajasthan, rescued 93 children employed as labourers in saree packing units in Surat.
