Legendary music composer Ilaiyaraaja celebrated his 83rd birthday on Tuesday by greeting a large crowd of fans outside his office in Kodambakkam, Chennai. Known affectionately as 'Isaignani', he acknowledged the enthusiastic fans with folded hands and a warm smile. Many admirers arrived carrying bouquets, garlands, and banners, creating a festive atmosphere. Ilaiyaraaja took time to interact with some of the well-wishers, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support throughout his illustrious career. Widely regarded as one of India's greatest music composers, he has created music for over a thousand films in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. His unique fusion of Indian classical music with Western orchestration has garnered him international acclaim. Ilaiyaraaja has been honored with prestigious awards, including the Padma Bhushan in 2010 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2018, solidifying his legacy in the music industry.
