On Monday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted extensive strikes against Hezbollah, targeting over 70 infrastructure sites across Lebanon, particularly in the Bekaa Valley and the southern city of Tyre. The military reported using approximately 85 munitions to strike command centers, weapons storage facilities, and other sites utilized by Hezbollah for operations against Israel. This escalation follows a series of drone attacks by Hezbollah on IDF troops, prompting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to direct an increase in military action against the group. In conjunction with these military operations, the Home Front Command has revised its security guidelines for communities near the Lebanese border. The new regulations allow gatherings of up to 50 people outdoors and 200 indoors, a reduction from previous limits of 200 and 600, respectively. Educational activities will continue as per existing protocols. Communities such as Meron, Bar Yochai, Or HaGanuz, and Satsufa will maintain a partial activity level, with guidelines effective from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The Home Front Command is committed to ongoing situational assessments and will communicate any changes to the public through official channels.
