The United Democratic Front (UDF) achieved a historic victory in the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections, sweeping all 14 constituencies in Ernakulam district. This election marks the Left Democratic Front's (LDF) most significant defeat in over 15 years, as it lost five constituencies that had previously supported it in the 2021 elections. The constituencies of Kalamassery, Kunnathunad, Kochi, Vypeen, and Kothamangalam notably shifted their allegiance to the UDF.
