Hashmatullah Shahidi has been named captain of the Afghanistan national cricket team for an upcoming series against India, which includes a one-off Test and three One Day Internationals (ODIs) scheduled from June 6 to June 20. The Test squad features a mix of seasoned players and newcomers, with Rahmat Shah, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and Azmatullah Omarzai forming a strong batting core. The spin department will be led by Sharafudin Ashraf and Qais Ahmad, while the pace attack includes Bilal Sami, Zia Sharifi, and Saleem Safi.
