Tigmanshu Dhulia, a prominent filmmaker in Indian cinema, has expressed his commitment to creating a biopic on K Asif, the legendary director of 'Mughal-E-Azam'. This ambition was initially conceived during discussions with the late actor Irrfan Khan, who passed away on April 29, 2020, at the age of 54. On the fourth anniversary of Khan's death, Dhulia shared his belief that Khan is encouraging him to pursue this project. The two had a close working relationship, collaborating on films such as 'Haasil' and 'Paan Singh Tomar', which are celebrated in their careers. Dhulia recounted challenges faced in previous projects, notably 'Ghulami', which was halted due to budget issues after just three days of shooting. He also reflected on how Khan's performance in 'Paan Singh Tomar' earned him a national award, despite the film's producers not submitting it for consideration. Dhulia's memories of Khan highlight the actor's evolution and potential, emphasizing what could have been had he continued to thrive in the industry.
