The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has revised its earlier decision and granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to pacer Nahid Rana, allowing him to play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 final on May 3 for Peshawar Zalmi. Initially, the BCB had limited his participation due to international commitments, including a white ball series against New Zealand, and had rested him to manage his workload. However, the BCB stated that his involvement in the PSL final is significant for his development as a player. Nahid has shown impressive form, taking seven wickets in four PSL matches at an average of 10.85 and an economy rate of 5.42. His standout performance included taking 3 wickets for 7 runs against Karachi Kings. He also excelled in international cricket, finishing as the top wicket-taker in the ODI series against New Zealand with eight wickets at an average of 16.75. Despite the PSL final occurring just five days before Bangladesh's Test series against Pakistan starting on May 8, the BCB confirmed that Nahid is expected to be fit for national duty.
