KPIT Technologies reported a 33% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit, dropping to ₹163 crore for the March quarter, down from ₹245 crore a year earlier. This decline occurred despite a 12% increase in revenue, which reached ₹1,711 crore compared to ₹1,528 crore in the same period last year. Sequentially, the profit after tax rose 22% from ₹133 crore in Q3 FY26, while revenue also grew 6% from ₹1,617 crore in the previous quarter. However, the company's expenses surged to ₹1,493 crore, marking a 6% quarter-on-quarter and 17% year-on-year increase, driven by costs associated with materials, employee benefits, and finance. Following the earnings announcement, KPIT shares fell 6% to ₹722.50 on the National Stock Exchange. CEO Kishor Patil noted that trade and geopolitical uncertainties had previously affected the mobility sector, but he expressed confidence in the company's growth potential, particularly in automotive software and AI, which are becoming increasingly critical in the industry.
