In a tragic incident on Saturday, two civilians were killed in an ambush by suspected militants in TM Kasom village, Ukhrul district, Manipur. The victims, identified as Chinaoshang Shokwungnao, a retired Army personnel from Tashar village, and Yaruingam Vashum from Kharasom village, were shot while traveling in a convoy from Imphal.
