Statistics Canada has engaged thousands of enumerators to facilitate this process. The census responses are encouraged to be submitted by May 12, with penalties of $500 to $1,000 for those who do not comply. A spokesperson clarified that this date serves as a reference rather than a strict deadline. To ensure the legitimacy of census staff, residents can verify their identity through the Census Help Line. Additionally, follow-up activities will also be conducted for the 2026 Census of Agriculture, with Statistics Canada reaching out to respondents via phone and email for assistance.
