NDR InvIT Trust, based in Bengaluru, has expanded its portfolio by acquiring two operational warehousing assets located in Kochi, Kerala, and Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, for ₹260 crore (approximately $31 million USD). This acquisition adds 0.79 million square feet of leasable area, bringing the Trust's total operational area to 22.96 million square feet across 18 cities in India. The assets were purchased from NDR Warehousing Pvt. Ltd. through a combination of cash and unit swap. NDR InvIT, which is backed by Bahrain-based Investcorp, focuses on generating long-term rental income through its warehousing and logistics assets. The managing director of NDR Warehousing, Amrutesh Reddy, highlighted the significant growth opportunities in South India, driven by strong demand and improving infrastructure. The trust has been actively acquiring assets, having raised ₹410 crore through a bond issuance in March, showcasing robust investor interest in quality infrastructure assets. Previous acquisitions include a 1.78 million square feet warehousing asset in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, for ₹285 crore and another in Pune for ₹203 crore.
