Duece Jones-Drew, a promising running back from De La Salle High School in California, has officially committed to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for the Class of 2027. Standing at 5-foot-8 and weighing 175 pounds, Jones-Drew is a three-star prospect and chose UCLA over other contenders including Arizona and California after a visit to the Bruins' spring game. His decision continues a legacy, as his father, Maurice Jones-Drew, was a standout player at UCLA from 2003 to 2005, earning All-American honors and later becoming a Pro Bowl running back in the NFL. The younger Jones-Drew cited the influence of UCLA's running backs coach A.J. Steward and the winning experience of new head coach Bob Chesney, who previously led James Madison University to the College Football Playoff. Jones-Drew's commitment is part of a successful recruiting period for UCLA, which has seen multiple top prospects join the program recently, including four-star recruits George Toia and Jackson Roper.
