During the discussion, Amit Shah reassured Dhillon of the Central Government's commitment to ensuring security in Punjab, eradicating drugs, and fostering peace and harmony. Dhillon also emphasized the need for lasting solutions to the state's pressing problems. As a gesture of goodwill, he presented Shah with a book on Maharaja Ranjit Singh, a prominent historical figure in Punjab, along with a portrait of the Sikh ruler. Kewal Singh Dhillon took over as the Punjab BJP president on June 3, marking a significant leadership change within the party in the state.
