Gujarat Titans batter was stung on the elbow by a Karthik Tyagi in the IPL 2026 encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens on Saturday. The young southpaw was seen grimacing on the field before having to walk off the field retired hurt in the side’s chase of 248 runs. KKR were put in to bat by GT skipper Shubman Gill as the hosts went on to post a massive 247 runs for 2 wickets riding on knocks from Finn Allen, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Cameron Green. Ajinkya Rahane opened the innings alongside Allen and added a 44-run stand before he was scalped by Mohammed Siraj for 14 off as many deliveries. Allen, who was dropped twice by Jason Holder and Siraj, went on to notch up his half-century in just 21 deliveries with Raghuvanshi ticking at the other end. Allen went on to launch as many as 10 sixes in a 93-run innings off just 38 balls before Sai Kishore gave his side the breakthrough. Raghuvanshi took charge after the Kiwi’s fall and added an unbeaten 82 runs off just 44 balls, while Aussie Green remained unbeaten alongside him on 52 off 28 deliveries. GT started the chase with aplomb as Sai and Gill put up a 42 runs in just 3 overs before the southpaw was hit on the elbow as Nishanth Sindhu came out to replace him.
