Ithaca is a road-trip RPG developed by Pixel Hunt, the studio known for the emotional narrative game Bury Me, My Love. Players take on the role of Penelope, a 30-something environmental lawyer who embarks on a journey to meet fellow members of the Earth Protection Association (EPA). Her adventure begins unexpectedly when she discovers a blindfolded petroleum company boss in her car trunk. As she drives through procedurally generated landscapes, players guide Penelope's decisions, balancing her eco-terrorism involvement with personal relationships. With over 30 non-playable characters (NPCs) to engage with and a full cast of voice actors, the game emphasizes narrative choices that lead to one of seven possible endings. Pixel Hunt founder Florent Maurin highlights the game's intention to explore difficult questions about power and environmental activism without providing definitive answers. Ithaca is tentatively set for release in 2027, and a Kickstarter campaign is currently underway to support its development.
